Fall/Winter Ministries 2026-27
Know God. Support One Another.
Sometimes it seems that second generation Christians have it easy. Because others have gone before, battled for the faith, and won great victories then it will be smooth sailing for those who come after them, right? Nothing could be further from the truth.
This brief, simple book was written by the apostle John to the first ever second- and third-generation Christians. The church has gone from a startup movement with little chance of success to a firmly entrenched organization with a growing network of churches, leaders, and communities. But the enemies of the faith haven’t gone anywhere. Pulling from a lifetime of meditating on his Master’s teaching, John pens a short letter about light, love, and life that can revive our Christianity by taking us back to the basics.
Sundays: 9:15 AM
Calvary Baptist Church is a family! Our small groups are smaller families within that family. Our small groups meet for Bible studies, friendships, and occasional fellowships. Regardless of your age or background, there is a group for you, and every group has a seat available and waiting for you!
Discipleship Hour
Children’s Discipleship
The Discipleship Hour is focused on the gospel message, teaches the whole Bible, doctrine, theology, and Christian worldview.
On Wednesdays, SOWers and GROWers seek to take kids beyond salvation by discipling them and developing them in their Christian walk.
Sundays: 9:15 AM
Age Groups:
2-3yrs (B-Hallway)
Lower Elementary (Red S.O.W.ers Room)
Upper Elementary (Yellow S.O.W.ers Room by office)
Dismissed from the Sunday AM Worship Service, this ministry conveys the Bible timeline in practical, age-appropriate ways. Children will understand the reality of the Bible accounts and be challenged to apply them to their lives.

Ruth: Loss, Love, & Legacy
9/1 & 9/2
Many of us struggle through seasons of bitterness, tears, and loss, wondering if there could ever be a happy ending to our stories. The story of Ruth affirms that yes, there is hope. However, it's not found in a happy ending scribed by a novelist’s pen, but in the power and protection of a sovereign God who never takes His eyes off of us for even a moment.
In this study from Kelly Minter, we'll examine Ruth's journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and divine legacy. We'll see how God proves Himself faithful as the One who rescues, revives, and restores.
