A Wednesday evening training program for three and four year olds. G.R.O.W.ers is designed to assist parents in the Christian nurture of their young ones. The acrostic stands for Giving Respectful Obedience Wholly. The goal of this ministry is to reinforce Godly wisdom in the hearts of children.

S.O.W.ers Ministry

S.O.W.ers stands for Students Of the Word, and is a unique training opportunity for children. In non-graded team Sunday School classes, and on Wednesday evenings, each child is trained to know God’s Word and to hide God’s Word in his heart. Designed for ages four and up.

Discipleship Electives

Calvary Baptist Church desires to provide clear Bible teaching for specific needs. Young people age 12 through adults may choose a course of study each semester from a list of training electives. Parents may direct their young people into classes they deem appropriate. Classes cover a wide array of topics, and are held on Sunday mornings. There are three semesters each calendar year: January-April, May-August, September-December.

Wednesday Electives

Elective courses are also provided on Wednesday evenings during the school year, in addition to a Bible study and prayer service.

Deacon Led Ministry Teams

Ministry teams developed and carried out through deacon servant leadership are designed to provide practical ministry outlets for church members. This is a developing ministry geared toward identifying and fulfilling ministry needs.

Choirs and Orchestra

A range of musical ministry opportunities are available through various choirs; The Adult Choir and Orchestra, Youth Choir and Handbell Choir, Junior Choir, Primary and Pre-School Choirs, and String Choir. Please see the section titled Ministry Distinctives regarding music ministry philosophy.

Faith Promise Missions

The church strongly believes in seeking to fulfill the Great Commission of getting the Gospel around the world. Over 80 missions endeavors are supported through Faith Promise giving and prayer. The annual Missions Conference is held in October of each year, along with a mid-year “Keeping Missions Alive” Sunday. Missionary guests are invited to interact with the church family and present or provide update reports on their ministry work.

Church Library

The Calvary Library (currently for members and regular attendees only) provides a growing collection of excellent books and media resources for the whole family.
