BIBLICAL WISDOM FOR END-OF-LIFE DECISIONS: HOW TO DEPART IN PEACE

Led by Pastor T.P. Johnston

This new elective focuses on the principles and truths of God‘s word that provide guidance to making God honoring end of life decisions. With advancing technologies has come far greater complexity to these kinds of decisions than ever before. Gods timeless word has answers we need, and God‘s people need to understand them well.
We will examine the principles of scripture with a view to applying them in practical medical situations, looking at some typical case Studies along the way. We’ll detail the importance of advance directives and walk through making the decisions that will enable us to fill out such a form and see to its wise use.
Whether for yourself or for the well-being of loved ones, this course is designed to equip you to know and apply God‘s truth as end of life choices come about, as they surely will. Needless suffering, confusion, and turmoil on the part of individuals and their families can often be avoided by giving heed to God’s word, enabling us to depart in peace.
This course is open to anyone age 13 and up.

MARK: A PORTRAIT OF THE SERVANT

Led by Pastor Doug Huggins

Mark, the one-time unfaithful servant was chosen by God to paint a portrait of the ever-faithful Servant, the Lord Jesus Christ. This shortest of the gospel accounts shows our Savior in devoted subjection to the Father, doing good, and making known the mind of God. There are many lessons we can learn as we study this great portrait.

Open to anyone age 13 and up.

BEHOLDING & BECOMING

Led by several ladies

Women, join us as we desire to behold and delight in Jesus Christ. Our desire is to create a time and space to "consider Jesus". As we see and experience Jesus, He will shape and change us as a community. Our time together will include exploring Scriptural stories of Jesus's life through teaching, discussion, and reflection. We will break into age based small groups periodically for discussion and encouragement. Optional homework will be included.

Open to ladies age 13 and up

Easter Service

Our Sunday morning service will focus on the resurrection of Jesus as we sing together, enjoy special choral music by the adult choir, and hear a message about the power of Jesus' resurrection!

We will have a gift for all of our visitors as a way of saying thank you and will have candy available for all the children.

What to expect as a visitor: Our service will include reverent congregational singing, specially prepared music, prayer, a special message for children, and preaching from God's Word. You will see a mixture of formal and business casual throughout our congregation, but we are far more concerned that you come than with what you wear!

We hope that you are able to join us as we celebrate Christ’s victory over sin and death!

Fall Sunday School Groups

Two-thirds of young people today are leaving the church by college age and Biblical illiteracy is rising. People simply don’t know what the Bible teaches or how to defend what they believe. What can we do to raise up a generation of young people that love God’s Word and know how to answer today’s skeptical questions?

Answers in Genesis Bible Curriculum gives us a chronological tour of the whole Bible over 4 years, it answers real life issues of Christians today, and it gives a thorough understanding the authority of Scripture and its primary teachings.

Answers Bible Sunday School Curriculum is synchronized from preschool to adult so the whole family is learning the same thing at varying levels. Lord willing, we will be studying God's Word using this curriculum beginning this fall, September 3rd and continuing through Spring 2024. Summer will then be a break from ABC and different electives offered.

Adult Classes

PowerPoint presentations, student guide and handouts, memory verses, discussion and prayer time will be a part of class time as we seek to equip ourselves, our family, and our church to know God’s Word and to be able to give an answer as to the hope that is in us. (1 Peter 3:15)

Children Classes

Colorful teaching posters, take home sheets, memory verses with music, stories, and kinetic activities will help children learn and retain Scripture and principles from God’s Word.

Come Join us at 9:15 AM on Sunday mornings!
